Excel tables require weekly manual consolidation, prone to human errors in formulas and depend on large data arrays. BI-system automatically updates data daily, protected against accidental formula deletion by employees and allows to see the root cause of any indicator drop by clicking on the chart.

This depends on the chosen platform. If we implement Metabase — this is an open-source product with no user subscriptions. If Microsoft Power BI Pro is chosen — the license costs about $10 per user per month, which is the minimal investment considering the time saved for the team.

We configure the security system at the row level (Row-Level Security, RLS). Sales managers see only their metrics, department head sees their department, and full financial reports, cost of goods sold, and net profit are available exclusively to the business owner with two-factor authentication.

By default, updates in the Power BI cloud are scheduled up to 8 times a day (for example, hourly during business hours). With Metabase or a direct DirectQuery connection to a ClickHouse database, data updates almost instantly whenever the screen is opened.

Yes, we necessarily design a special mobile version of the dashboard. All charts are adapted for a vertical smartphone screen, and the main metrics are displayed as large cards so you can check the status of affairs over your morning coffee in 10 seconds.
